ROCK Early Year’s Community Breastfeeding Clinic Closure

Effective May 31, 2020, the ROCK Early Year’s Community Breastfeeding Clinic grant has come to an end.  The Drop-In Clinic and Meet-Ups offered at the 710 Cumberland Avenue location in Burlington, as well as the Home Visiting program, have been discontinued effective May 31, 2020. COVID-19 Update – Meetings & Events

In support of global efforts to flatten the curve of COVID-19 infection and public health recommendations for physical distancing, all in-person Halton Baby-Friendly Initiative events are suspended until further notice. This includes our monthly scheduled membership meetings, as well as community special events. We hope to resume our membership meetings in Fall 2020, provided it is safe and recommended to do so by public health officials. Important note re community breastfeeding supports and COVID-19: Due to the current public health concerns about COVID-19 (2019 Novel Coronavirus) we advise you to check directly with the organizer before attending any of the breastfeeding supports listed on our website. Many organizations in Halton are temporarily closed to the public. If you would like breastfeeding telephone support, please call 311 to speak to a public health nurse. Some private lactation consultants are providing video call support.
