New video – Breastfeeding in Halton

The Halton Baby-Friendly Initiative is proud to present our new video highlighting all the ways families can receive breastfeeding support in the Halton community. This video features local parents on their journey through pregnancy, birth and beyond. Are you interested in: Educating businesses about how they can support breastfeeding families? Increasing awareness of breastfeeding rights? Normalizing breastfeeding in public? Our volunteers visit local businesses as their schedules allow. Information about medication use while pregnant or breastfeeding

The Motherisk helpline was discontinued on April 16, 2019. There is currently no Canadian phone line or website for counseling on medication use while pregnant or breastfeeding. Please consult your healthcare provider or pharmacist for information. There are several non-profit USA websites and apps with information: MotherToBaby, LactMed, and Infant Risk Centre. For more information, visit our online supports.
