OHIP COVERED LACTATION SERVICES

Lactation consultants are not directly covered under the current OHIP funding model. OHIP only covers services provided by hospitals or physicians to Ontario residents with a valid health card. However, some lactation consultants work in partnership with physicians in the community, allowing their services to be billed through OHIP.
