  2. Participate in our selfie photo contest to celebrate WBW CONTEST RULES The grand prize is an annual family/vehicle pass for Conservation Halton parks. Runner up prizes are Halton BFI Past and Present Nursing Mothers notebooks

Halton BFI is celebrating World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) August 1-7 with life-size cut-outs of local mothers breastfeeding all over Halton!


You can visit life-size cutouts at the following locations:

  1. Joseph Brant Hospital (Burlington)

  2. Oakville Trafalgar Hospital (Oakville)

  3. Milton District Hospital (Milton)

  4. Georgetown Hospital (Georgetown)

  5. Halton Regional Centre (Oakville)

  6. Burlington Public Library – Central branch (Burlington)

  7. Burlington Public Library – Tansley branch (Burlington)

  8. Burlington Public Library – Alton branch (Burlington)

3 ways to enter the photo contest!

Take a photo or selfie using one of the following… 1. The photo prop (at the WBW picnic) 2. “I’ve been breastfeeding for…” chalk board (at the WBW picnic) 3. Lifesize breastfeeding cutouts (around Halton Aug. 1-7)


Post your photo or selfie on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter and use #HBFIWBW

Make sure that Halton BFI is able to contact you by private message or you can email info@babyfriendlyhalton.ca a screenshot of your post if it is not visible publicly. You can also tag us @HaltonBFI

  1. Program Sponsor

The Sponsor for this contest is the Halton Baby Friendly-Initiative.

  1. Eligibility

This contest is open to legal residents of Halton Region as of Tuesday August 1st, 2017.

  1. Contest Timing (the “Contest Period”)

The contest begins at 12:00am EST on Tuesday August 1st, 2017 and ends at 11:59pm EST on Tuesday August 8th, 2017.

  1. Prizing

There are 5 prizes to be won. The first prize is an annual family/vehicle pass to Conservation Halton Parks. The second, third, fourth and fifth prizes are Halton Baby-Friendly Initiative Nursing Moms Past and Present notebooks. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.

  1. Contest Entry Process

To enter the contest, participants must:

a. Take a selfie or photo (a picture of themself/family members/friends) with a Halton Baby-Friendly Initiative life size breastfeeding cutout or take a selfie or photo at the Halton BFI World Breastfeeding Week Picnic on August 2nd with the photo prop or “I’ve been breastfeeding for…” chalkboards AND

b. Post their selfie on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter and ensure the post is publicly viewable AND

c. Use the hashtag #HBFIWBW when posting their picture AND

d. Ensure it is possible for Halton BFI to contact them through the social media outlet they post the picture on (Instagram, Facebook or Twitter) OR

e. Alternatively, participants may email Halton BFI (info@babyfriendlyhalton.ca) a screenshot of their social media post and this will count as their contest entry.

Incomplete or illegible entries may be disqualified. The Sponsor’s decisions are final on all matters relating to this contest.

There is a limit of one entry per family. Winners will be chosen at random and contacted by Friday, August 11, 2017 at 11:59pm by the sponsor. If a winner is deemed to be unreachable or is unable to accept their prize, they will forfeit their prize and a runner up will be selected.

  1. Release & Grant of License

Photos posted publicly on social media outlets are shared publicly.

  1. Limitations of Liability

Entrants hereby agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsor and their affiliates from any claims, actions, injury, loss or damage of any kind, including but not limited to damage to property, personal injury or death resulting from participation in this contest and any prize-related activity.
